My name is Valentine Ekweanua a.k.a. Val Sweetwater
(that is my show business name in Nigeria). I’m from
Nigeria, West Africa. I am an actor, director, and a
producer. I started acting when I was ten years old. I
have acted in different movies in Africa and here in the
United States. Some of the movies acted in Nigeria are
“Living in Bondage”, “Glamour Girls”, “Dirty Deal”,
“Bruno and the Law”, “Obiora”, “Brotherhood of
Darkness”, and a few others. I have also done some
soaps with NTA Lagos. I’ve done some work here in
America. Currently, I am the director of All-Africa
Theater Productions (AATP).

AATP aims to specialize in stage plays, film
productions, and talk shows. AATP has done several
stage plays. Recently, we performed a dynamic stage
play titled, “Had I Known”, a gospel stage play that had
to do with HIV. Yes, it was a wonderful turnout. We’re
also scheduled to perform “The Center Cannot Hold”, an
adaptation of “Things Fall Apart”, a popular novel by
Professor Chinua Achebe. We’re staging it again due to
popular demand by our fans to see it. We first staged
the play September 2008, at Cullen Performance Hall,
University of Houston. It was so marvelous that those
that missed the show were calling to see it and those
that saw it wanted to see it again. That is why we are
scheduled to perform it again at TSU, February 2009, in
celebration of black history month. This one will be mind
blowing so go and get your tickets now! Visit our

Our mission is to create a theatrical culture that portrays
the authenticity of the African rich culture. We are to
capture the attention of the American people to identify
with the educationally and emotionally captivating plays
of the African nations. We are to present a quality
production for total satisfaction of our customers. We
are to promote African actors and showcase them for
future careers in Nollywood and Hollywood.

As I said earlier, we focus on stage plays, film
production, actor training, comedy, and entertainment.
We are currently screening for actors/actresses and
